It seems that every time I get a utility bill, it higher than the one before? It doesn’t seem to matter if I’ve been out of town for five days, or if I haven’t used the heat or air, or if I haven’t cooked…it’s either the same of inching up.
I dread going to the gas pump or to the grocery store. Even the sales in the stores are shrinking. Publix used to have lots of “Buy 1, Get 1 Free,” but now it $2.00 off or a $8.00 pack of bacon…thank goodness I’ve almost given meat up. And, the gas pump…up 30 cents, down 20 cents, up 30 cents. Do they think we’re stupid? Yep.
The payroll tax…wow!
My healthcare co-pay and deductibles have gotten so high that I have to be really close to my deathbed to go to the doctor. And that free wellness check-up is at least $300 after they tell you to come back for that follow-up that is always negative.
And when did tires sky-rocket? And when I go in for an oil-change, I have to listen to a sales pitch that is not far from the one you get when you go buy a car. And, the Post Office…every time I go in there the prices have gone up on something or the other.
Where does it stop? Now, look at me complaining. I know I should be grateful that at least I have a job.
