Will it be a positive or a negative or will it matter at all? Hillary 2016!!! I have to think about that one…but not because she won’t be the most intellectually capable candidate in the race.
I love Hillary Clinton. I was a supporter in 2008 and will always be a huge admirer of this great woman. That said, it is difficult for me to imagine voting for this talented lady in 2016. And, I don’t believe the GOP that are hyping us believe that Secretary of State Clinton will be the best candidate either. They just don’t want us prepping another candidate.
Bill Clinton is 66-years old. His mind is still quick but the man aged 30 years during his presidency. For heaven’s sake this avid runner has had several heart episodes. As much as I think he has the mind to run the country today, I don’t believe he would have the physical or mental wherewithal to deal with the GOP of today…day in and day out.
George Bush aged at least twenty-five years in his presidency. And, look at President Obama; yes, First Lady he is still cute, but the man has aged. President Reagan didn’t age that much outwardly but we now know he really wasn’t present for portions of his presidency because bless his heart he was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. Secretary Clinton would be the same age as Ronald Reagan going into the presidency.
Lord knows, she deserves to be the first female President, but this job takes its toll on the middle-aged and the fit. It would not have mercy on Hillary Clinton. Secretary Clinton will be the same age as Ronald Reagan going into the presidency if she were to win in 2016. I will say I think she would be much better than let’s say John McCain would have been and in my opinion better than Reagan.
I guess in all fairness I will have to see how she holds up over the next four years. I must admit, she does seem to be getting better with age.
